Solid formal shoes but definitely size up!
I like everything about these shoes except for the fact that I ordered true to size and they run quite a bit smaller. It's almost impossible to slip them on without a shoehorn and it feels like I'm damaging the lip due to the force required to get them on. That being said, it's a great looking elegant shoe that I continue to go back to when the occasion calls for it.

Great shoes for the purpose -- as formal as black tie
I needed black tie ready shoes to go with my tux. And I needed additional height. This did the job! The upper is shiny and gives a great formal feel. The only minor complaint I have is that the upper leather does easily crease as it bends, which is natural but the crease marks show a bit more on this shoe that other black leather shoes I've owned. The effect is that the leather does look a little more plastic-y than I'd prefer. But really a minor complaint, the overall look is still clearly leather.

Excellent Shoes
I was surprised by how comfortable this pair and the other 5 that I bought were. There was nothing uncomfortable or unusual about the fit. They are high quality leather and look better than many other shoes I’ve bought at this price range. All the effect they’re promised to produce while being an excellent pair of shoes. Can’t complain!
