Worked for me, gained 2 inches with Nike Airs
These insoles worked out better than I imagined. 0.5 inches is perfect as it fits most shoes. Ideal if you only want a slight increase of height. Or you can do what I did. I used them successfully on a pair of Nike Air runners. (I suggest choosing a half size larger then your shoe size) . Nike Airs (or similar sneaker) gives you about 1.5 inches of height just by themselves. And with this insole added, you can gain a net of 2 inches of height v.s being barefoot. More practical than getting a 2 inch elevator show in my view.

Great heel support
These are great. I have a heel problem from a motorcycle accident and these really help cushion it. I went back to by 2 more pairs after trying out the first pair. This way I don't have to keep switching out with different shoes.
